Friday Jun 25, 2021
Phase One of the podcast continues. For the next several weeks, I'll be sharing conversations with guest stars and crew members from Seinfeld.
This week I'm talking with Melanie Smith, who played Jerry's girlfriend Rachel Goldstein in The Raincoats, The Hamptons and The Opposite. We talked about that famous "I was in the pool!" scene, improvising on Curb with Larry David, and her decision to leave Hollywood and start a new chapter of her life on the other side of the country. Melanie had so much wisdom to share--don't miss a second of this interview.
This week’s musical guest is Auramics, a psychedelic, radiophonic, musique concrète group based in NYC/LA, founded by Kristi Scarvelis & Glen Lee Flynn in 2014 in Brooklyn. Listen to the end for their song Founders of Time.

Hefner about his role as Gene, also known as Bizarro George, in the season 8 Seinfeld episode The Bizarro Jerry, as well as working on Curb Your Enthusiasm, meeting Garry Marshall, and how a choice he made with his role on Seinfeld almost got him fired.
This week's musical guest is San Diego-based music project Vaginals. Listen to the end of the episode for the Twin Peaks-inspired song Laura's Dream.

We're kicking off Phase One of the podcast! For the next several weeks, I'll be sharing conversations with guest stars and crew members from Seinfeld. In this episode I talk to actress, writer and advocate Angela Featherstone about her role as Cindy in the season 9 Seinfeld episode The Maid, as well as working on Friends, Con Air, and The Wedding Singer. David Lynch fans, don't miss this one. She's got some great stories to share about Harry Dean Stanton, Charlotte Stewart, and her love for Blue Velvet.

What’s the deal with darkness?
Welcome to The Other Side of Darkness, an episodic Seinfeld parody story that answers a simple question: what if David Lynch wrote an episode of Seinfeld? Produced by Seinpeaks, The Other Side of Darkness will unfold in eight 20-30 minute episodes, published each week beginning this fall.
Between now and then, I’ll be sharing a series of interviews with cast and crew members from Seinfeld, sharing their memories and stories, as well as some unexpected moments of clarity and intersections with the world of David Lynch.
Every episode, including this one, will end with a spotlight on a musical artist inspired by, or reminiscent of, the worlds of Twin Peaks and Seinfeld. This week's guest is Sheilava.
